Moroccan Lentil Sweet Potato Stew

Serves 6 people


  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups green lentils, rinsed
  • 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed 
  • 1 large sweet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 4 cups La Dee Da Moroccan Lentil Soup
  • 2 cups vegetable broth 
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • Fresh coriander, as garnish


  1. In a large pot on medium high heat, drizzle a little olive oil and saute onion and garlic until fragrant.. Add the rest of your ingredients, turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil.
  2. Once it starts boiling, turn the heat down to a low simmer and cook uncovered for about 30/40 minutes, stirring occasionally,until lentils are cooked through and not falling apart.
  3. Remove the stew from heat and add any additional seasonings you’d like. Top with fresh coriander, serve and enjoy!
